Maybe I should have spelled this out more for people who couldn’t bother to click the link. Yes, it excludes an entire gender (that is often excluded) open and blatantly. But maybe, if that doesn’t bother you (even though it should), the other aspects of their ad campaign will.
On Dr. Pepper 10’s facebook page men (only men! men men men!) can “shoot” things that are girly. High heels and bows and rainbows. Things women wear. In a country where, on average, three women a day are murdered by a domestic partner, these things aren’t “fun”.
I also haven’t even brought up how problematic it is the way the campaign categorizes what is normal for “men” and “women” and gender issues.
Also, the tagline in the reblogged post summed it up. I’m so glad you don’t care about Dr. Pepper because you think it tastes bad, but this is a little bigger than that.

Quite frankly, I can’t believe they haven’t pulled the campaign yet. Sign the petition, feel free to go to their facebook page, or tweet them at @DrPepper and tell them how you really feel.
